Lewisville-Clemmons Road Median & Widening Project

For years residents of the Village of Clemmons have been divided by plans to construct medians along the busy Lewisville-Clemmons Road corridor. Due to heavy traffic and safety concerns, the North Carolina Department of Transportation (“NC DOT”) will proceed with a version of the road improvement project.

Known as Project U-6004, NCDOT plans to proceed with a scaled-back version of the controversial median and widening project. In NCDOT’s latest proposal, NC DOT plans to construct a median from the Interstate-40 interchange to Stadium Drive. The construction of medians will necessitate the widening of Lewisville-Clemmons Road in both directions.

Additionally, NC DOT plans to construct medians in the vicinity of the intersection of Lewisville-Clemmons Road and Clemmons Road (US Highway 158). Widening of Lewisville-Clemmons Road is likely along the entire stretch of Lewisville-Clemmons Road from the Interstate-40 interchange to Clemmons Road (US Highway 158).

This project will potentially affect all property owners directly on Lewisville-Clemmons Road and parts of Clemmons Road (US Highway 158) in this area.

If you are faced with a condemnation of your land or your lease, you have rights. NC DOT must justly compensate you for any taking of your property. An experienced eminent domain attorney will protect your rights and ensure you receive the full compensation you are constitutionally guaranteed.

If you receive notice from NC DOT that your property or lease may be affected by this project, call the experienced eminent domain attorneys at Hendrick Bryant Nerhood & Sanders, LLP at 336-723-7200. Attorneys Kirk Sanders and Josh Dearman are prepared to fight for the just compensation you deserve.
