General counsel Paul Hendrick was elected to the 2017 ECHL Hall of Fame along with Rick Kowalsky & Brad Phillips.
Paul continues to serve as the ECHL’s General Counsel. He began this role in the 1994-1995 season. His role includes the expansion of the hockey league, acquisition of teams, governing structure, and labor relations.
Paul was instrumental in the founding of the NC Bar Association’s Sports & Entertainment Law Section. He is a past chair and a current member of that section. In addition, Paul has represented NASCAR, NASCAR teams, NFL players, and the property ownership trust of an NFL team.
The ECHL has player agreements with the AHL (American Hockey League) and NHL (National Hockey League). An international hockey league, it is over 25 teams strong throughout the United States (from Alaska to Florida) along with teams in Canada.
